Treatments

Your dental wellbeing is our first priority. We offer a full range of general dentistry, as well as cosmetic treatments and smile makeovers. You will be directly involved in all decisions regarding your treatment and where possible, we provide a range of options and advice to help you make the right decision for you.

  • We provide all the treatments you would expect from a modern, private dental practice, including:
  • General, preventive dentistry

    General, preventive dentistry

As a modern dental surgery, we provide all the treatments you would expect, with a special focus on preventive care. This means that wherever possible we will save a tooth rather than extract it. Our aim is to improve your long-term dental wellbeing and we do this by offering a combination of thorough dental examinations and great dental hygiene advice.

  • Crowns

    Crowns

Crowns are restorations that fully cover teeth and are used for various reasons including protecting heavily filled teeth, restoring function and improving appearance. Crowns come in a variety of materials depending on why and where they are being used. Gold crowns offer great strength with minimal tooth loss and may be suitable for back teeth, all-ceramic crowns are carefully crafted to look completely natural and blend in with the rest of your teeth and are ideal at the front of the mouth.

  • Implants

    Implants

A dental implant is made of titanium and is an artificial root that replaces a tooth that has been lost. Once restored it enables us to provide you with a restoration that looks and works like the real thing. Implants can be used to restore your smile by permanently replacing one or more missing teeth. Dental implants can also save healthy teeth by eliminating the need to use sound teeth for traditional bridgework. They can also be used to stabilise loose dentures so allowing the wearer to laugh and eat with confidence and in comfort.

  • Tooth whitening

    Tooth whitening

Brighten stained, discoloured or dark teeth easily to achieve a more dazzling smile and increased self-confidence. There are several ways to undertake this treatment, the most appropriate approach can be discussed at your visit.

  • Bridges

    Bridges

This is the term given to a restoration that replaces missing teeth by attaching one or more ’false teeth’ to your natural teeth. There are several ways of attaching the bridge to your own teeth and these can be fully explained to you at your consultation.

  • Dentures

    Dentures

Everyone should be able to eat, chew and smile with confidence. We provide full or partial dentures in acrylic, or metal and acrylic. We also provide flexible partial and sectional dentures. We take time to ensure they fit comfortably and look natural and your input and approval is actively sought at every stage.

  • Veneers

    Veneers

Veneers are thin porcelain facings which can be used to hide discolouration, close unsightly gaps and alter the shape and position of teeth with minimal loss of sound tooth structure. Veneers can be used to dramatically re-model your entire smile.

  • Cerec restorations

    Cerec restorations

Cerec is a cad/cam system that enables your dentist to prepare your tooth for a restoration, scan the preparation and then, with the aid of a computer, design, create and fit the new all-ceramic restoration in a single visit, something that would have taken several weeks and required multiple appointments in the past. Cerec restorations are suitable for crowns, veneers, inlays and onlays.

  • Orthodontics with Clearstep

    Orthodontics

We use the Clearstep system of invisible aligners to achieve a beautiful smile naturally. They are wafer thin, made of a transparent medical-grade plastic and can be removed for eating and cleaning. Please ask for more information.

New patients

As a new patient wishing to join the practice, you will be offered an initial consultation, which lasts half an hour and costs £70, including any necessary x-rays. During this appointment we will carry out a thorough, 12-point dental health examination, which looks at every aspect of your mouth including your teeth, gums, cheeks, tongue, glands, jaw and bite. This unhurried examination also allows us to find out more about you, your concerns and your dental aspirations. Following this initial consultation we will be able to discuss your dental care more fully.

Emergency care

Please don’t suffer in silence if you are experiencing toothache, have lost a filling or have been involved in an accident, as we set time aside each day for emergency appointments. Please call the practice as early as possible to ensure you are seen the same day.

If you are visiting the area or are unable to see you own dentist, we are happy to provide emergency treatment. Once your emergency issue has been resolved, you are welcome to return to your own dentist. If you do not have a dentist of your own and would like to join our practice, we will arrange a new patient consultation on a separate visit.

Health and hygiene

Good dental hygiene underpins dental health. All our patients are offered the opportunity to regularly visit one of our hygienists. The care and advice they provide, alongside your dental regime at home, will help you keep your teeth for life.
